General Information

Resistant aerobic gram negative coccobacillus

Generally causes nosocomial infection and can occur in outbreaks in this setting.

Community acquired infections are described in tropical countries but are uncommon.

  • VAP
  • Bloodstream infections
  • Biofilm infections of prosthetic devices
  • Wound infection/SSTI
  • UTI
  • May be a colonizer
