Non-Purulent / Cellulitis

Typical cases of cellulitis in patients without systemic signs/symptoms on infection.

Cellulitis in patients with systemic signs of infection(moderate), systemic antibiotics are indicated.

Cellulitis associated with penetrating trauma, MRSA infection elsewhere, IV drug use, SIRS, oral antibiotic failure, etc.

Note

Non-purulent cellulitis is mostly caused by beta-hemolytic streptococci (e.g. Group A) or MSSA.
