Indications for Prophylaxis
Populations NOT Requiring Prophylaxis
Treat all women with intrapartum fever and signs of chorioamnionitis with broad spectrum intravenous antibiotics targeting chorioamnionitis and including coverage for GBS, regardless of GBS status and gestational age.
An adequate duration of IAP is defined as antibiotic given greater than or equal to 4 hours before delivery
