Spectrum of Activity

General Information

Therapy of suspected and confirmed invasive fungal infections

  • Periodic liver function tests

  • Renal function tests

  • CBC with differential

  • Increased liver enzymes, elevated bilirubin

  • GI upset, diarrhea

  • Pruritis, fever (most common in pediatrics)

  • Cyclosporin and tacrolimus (drug level monitoring recommended)

  • Prolonged dexamethasone, phenytoin, rifampin or other enzyme inducers; (see dosing as dose adjustment may be required)

Pentrates poorly into CSF and urine.
