Adverse Effects

  • Allergy (immediate or delayed)

  • Cytopenias

  • Eosinophilia

  • Interstitial nephritis

  • Abnormal liver enzymes

  • Phlebitis at injection site in a peripheral vein

Major Interactions

Can increase methotrexate levels.

Decrease mycophenolate levels.

Tetracyclines can diminish cloxacillin activity.
