  •  Immediate and delayed-type allergy

  •  GI disturbance

  •  Cytopenias, positive Coombs

  •  Liver enzyme abnormalities

Therapy of serious, often nosocomial infections involving resistant Gram negative organisms

Valproic acid - Carbapenems decrease valproate levels and may decrease seizure threshold
