Select All That Apply

  • < 2 months age: > 60 / min
  • 2-12 months age: > 50 / min
  • 12 months–5 years age: > 40 / min
  • Unable to drink
  • Persistent vomiting
  • Convulsions
  • Lethargic or unconscious
  • Stridor in a calm child
  • Severe malnutrition

Note

Infants less than 3-6 months of age with suspected bacterial CAP are likely to benefit from hospitalization

Give oxygen to maintain the SpO₂ >92%

Microbiological diagnosis only indicated for children requiring ICU admission or if no response to first-line treatment
