Prevalence higher in developing nations and mimics HIV/AIDS distribution.

Associated syndromes

Pulmonary:

  • Cavitating pneumonia

  • Upper lobe pnuemonia

  • Occasionally miliary

Extrapulmonary:

  • Lymph node disease

  • CNS infection

  • Osteomyelitis (Potts)
